December

Our class is no longer in 4th grade we are now in 5th. My classmates and I miss Mrs. Wilson But now she is the 4th grade teacher with Mrs. Ambrose.

Schools almost out!!!!

There are only three more days left of school! Tomorrow we have our class silent auction. During the year we made projects to get points for the auction. The highest in our class was 1,100 auction points. She won all the fish , another girl won the mice. We are packing up our stuff in the classroom because our teacher is moving classrooms. Tomorrow is field day but if it rains we do it the next day. We are having an ice-cream party tomorrow too.

Then schools out and Summer is here!!!

Our Field Trip To The Quarry

Today we went on a field trip to a Quarry. It was really cool because we got to see lots of rocks and some people found fossils. After the Quarry we went to a park and had lunch. At the park we also played a little and some of the boys played football too.

Earth Materials

In science we have been studying the Earth's Materials. Mr. Kamstra works for a company that does a fourth grade workshop/field trip that relates hand in hand with our unit.

The class create a metamorphic experiment! Ask your child why they did this.

1st - Making the jelly sandwich

2nd- putting it on the chair 3rd - sitting on the chair and the sandwich

4th - moving around
5th - the final "rock"
We then traveled outside to create concrete

Celebrate!

This morning we celebrated the success our class had with the food drive. I was very proud of how hard the class worked to bring in a generous amount of food. The school gathered enough food to fill the entire food pantry! We celebrated with dilly bars from Dairy Queen this morning!

National Day of Prayer

It was an honor for us to participate in the National Day of Prayer today. We traveled to the Crown Point Courthouse and sang several songs. Overall, we had a wonderful afternoon praising God!

Food Drive

Our class did a fabulous job with the food drive last week. I was very proud of all the hard work they put into bringing in food to help those less fortunate than us. Thank you parents for all your help!

Friday, last day of the week!!!

Today we have gym! Hopefully we can go outside and play kickball again!Today we had a spelling and a language test.Yesterday in art we made kites and next week we are going to fly them outside!! They really work.Our class is doing multiplication tests and when you get a test right you go on to the next test and almost our whole class is finished!Then if we all finish we will get an icecream party!! The fourth grade is having an auction at the end of the year and we are auctioning of the mice!Grandparents day is soon that means that the spring musical is coming too! Congragulations to the 2 people uin our class who got big speaking parts!That's all, bye!

Thursday!!

Today we found out the winners for the food drive for people in Zambia, but sadly our class didn't win, the third grade won.Mrs.Wilson said since we didn't win and we tried our hardest we get a special treat! We don't know what it is yet. Ms.Sterk chose the 4th grade ( our class ) to sing at the National Day of Prayer at the court house in Crown Point, on Thursday of next week.That's all for today!

Wednesday

Today we have a spelling pretest. If half the class gets an A+ we get a handfull of marbles, and then we get a special treat! For the 30 hour famine at our school each class is trying to bring in the most food, if we do that we will get a subway lunch!!! We are giving all the food and other items to the people in Zombia.We had a social studies test yesterday and half the class got 100%!!!

Monday April 21st

Congragulations to 2 people in our class that got a speaking part for our spring musical! Today we are playing jepordy in social studies because our social studies test is tomorrow. It has been really warm outside so we can just wear sweatshirts!! We only have 34 days left of school , our class can't wait until summer. We are reading " Judy Blume Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing ". We have 2 mice in our classroom, their names are Hunter and Payton. Payton is white and Hunter is brown.They are so cute! Our four day WEEK!

This week is our four day week!We have four day week because of good Friday.People in my class are going places.Happy St.Patricks Day!On March 20 [this Thursday] spring begins!Easter is this Sunday.I am hoping it gettes wammer soon!Next mounth is April it should get wammer!We get to move desks than I am exsited for that to !We are readi ng the story Blue dolphins [in language class].

Our Party

We had a valentines party the 14th. The party was fun and we played a ton of games. I got a lot of candy. That was the most wonderful party ever.

Valentines day is coming. I like to give my grandparents a call because they live far away in Florida. I would just like to say HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to all of you.
My class is doing praise Gathering for valentines day. Thats a thing were everybody from Pre- k - 5th grade and we are going to do some skits and songs about God's love. That's all for today BEY!

The Field Trip

We are going to the Indiana dunes. I hope there is snow so we can go cross country skiing. If there is no snow we can't go skiing. Thats ok.
